This one-day emergency outdoor first aid qualification is designed for outdoor professionals such as outdoor activity instructors, teachers, rural visit leaders or sports coaches operating in locations with close access to further support.

You will gain the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency situations covering cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator, unresponsive casualties, choking, blood loss, and shock in a range of outdoor situations.

The qualification meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Band 2 training and the qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).

FAA are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and Qualifications Scotland Accreditation and the qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

The qualification is delivered, assessed, and quality assured adhering to the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications, and delivered and assessed in accordance with the current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines. The qualification is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid Training.
